Conversations With Other Women (#64)
I really really enjoyed this. It’s unique and decidedly indie, but wonderfully so. Helena Bonham Carter and Aaron Eckhart are both wonderful, though I found myself being drawn to Helena’s frame more than Aaron’s when choosing which split screen to watch. The writing is superb and I loved the way their relationship unfolded. My big issue is that the video quality is quite cheap at moments, especially in the hotel room, and took away from the quality of the film. The split screen is a novelty, so I couldn’t watch many movies in the style, but I thought it fit this story perfectly. Really good artsy-indie movie.
