Adam’s Rib (#63) (#161)
I liked this. It’s your typical old-Hollywood battle-of-the-sexes but smart (though not as smart as it thinks it is) and - in a not to be ignored feat - actually made me enjoy Katherine Hepburn. She and Spencer Tracy have perfect chemistry (obviously) and I loved watching their repartee and relationship. My big problem with the film comes in that I identified more with Spencer’s points against Katherine’s behavior than Katherine’s justification for her grand cause. The weakness of the case weakened the movie for me, but not enough to keep me from being thoroughly entertained.
