OSS 117: Cairo, Nest of Spies (#61)

This is funny, especially if you’re a fan of old school James Bond and his kind. Jean Dujardin is adamantly politically incorrect but hysterical - and hunky - and it’s fun seeing him and Berenice Bejo teaming up even before The Artist. The movie on the whole is slick, beautifully self aware at moments (I loved the camera humor at moments), and feels reminiscent of Blake Edwards’ 60s comedies. I’m not a die hard fan of OSS 117 by any means, but I will happily make the time to watch the others in the series. Also, since this is me, the major 007 fan, I have to say that despite what everyone says, with the slapstick humor, this felt more Roger Moore than Sean Connery era Bond homage - but that’s beside the point.
