In the Loop (#50) (#159)
This was, to use the vernacular of the characters, fucking brilliant. It’s hilarious. 100% dry British humor and wonderfully biting satire. Completely deserving of its Oscar nomination. I got to watch a bit of ”The Thick of It” while I was abroad and love the segue into a movie. Malcolm Tucker is one of the most entertaining characters around with Peter Capaldi being positively brilliant. Tom Hollander is his standard excellent and I loved seeing Chris Addison (not sure why they created a new character for him, but that’s okay) and Anna Chlumskey. It’s dark and outrageous and brilliantly harsh and hysterical. I loved it.
